Abstract
The distributions of sodium and chlorine in leaf cross sections of the seag rasses Zostera capensis and Thalassodendron ciliatum were studied using the true elemental imaging system (Dynamic Analysis) of the NAC nuclear microp robe. Analyses were performed using protons of 0.6 and 1.5 MeV and experime ntal conditions were compared in detail, Using protons of 0.6 MeV is recomm ended for mapping of Na, Mg and Al.
