Results of measurements of the temperature dependence of the refractive ind
ices of lithium triborate in a range of 20-600 degrees C are reported. The
thermooptical coefficients dn(o,e)/dt are calculated and their temperature
dependences in the given range are presented. The dispersion curves for the
function dn(o,e)/dt = f(lambda) for three wavelengths are plotted. Based o
n the data obtained, some parameters of the crystal band structure are dete
rmined, in particular, the averaged fundamental-oscillator strength S-0 and
the averaged fundamental-oscillator position lambda(0).
