Abstract
Based on the known permittivity spectrum, a set of optical functions of the hexagonal aluminum nitride in the range 4-30 eV is obtained. The permittiv ity spectrum is decomposed into elementary components. Parameters of each c omponent are found. The nature of the components is suggested based on avai lable theoretical calculations of the band structure.
