A theoretical study of five odd configurations of singly ionized plati
num was performed in the framework of the Slater-Racah theory. This le
d to the interpretation of all 202 experimentally known energy levels.
In the earlier analysis we altered the J-values of five levels and re
moved the indeterminacies in J-values of another 13 levels. Twenty-eig
ht new levels were found in the vicinity of the predictions, and the l
owest levels of 5d(8)7p and 5d(6)6s(2)6p were identified at 106995 and
104625 cm(-1), respectively. The transition probabilities computed in
the HXR option of the Cowan code are in good agreement with observed
intensities of Sansonetti, J. E., Reader, J., Sansonetti, C. J. and Ac
quista, N., J. Res. NIST, 97, 1 (1992). One hundred and fifty-one newl
y classified lines are reported in the range 1077-4104 Angstrom.
