Abstract
Reactions of Schrock's methyl methylene complex Cp2Ta(=CH2)CH3 with HB(C6F5 )(2) are described. Products arising from attack of the borane at the methy lene ligand are isolated; the course of the reaction is dependent on the co nditions employed and the equivalency of borane used.
