Abstract
The theory of polarization-dependent cross sections and of the polarization of the scattered beam in terms of the nuclear and magnetic correlation fun ctions will be reviewed and extended. It is possible, using three-dimension al polarization analysis, to separate different correlation functions and s tatic expectation values. Expressions which are useful for this purpose are given.
