The branching ratio, forward-backward asymmetry and CP violating asymmetry
for B --> X(d)l(+)l(-) decay, in framework of the general two Higgs doublet
model, with extra phase angle in the charged-Hwiggs-fermion coupling, are
calculated. It is shown that studying the CP violating asymmetry is an effi
cient tool for establishing new physics. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All
