Vp. Silin et Av. Studenov, Effect of normal electrons in superconductors on the current-voltage characteristic of a Josephson junction, PHYS SOL ST, 41(4), 1999, pp. 521-526
It is established that the conductivity of normal electrons in superconduct
ors plays a large role in the current-voltage characteristic of a Josephson
junction having a high critical current density, described on the basis of
a nonlocal electrodynamics. It is shown in the resistive limit that the no
rmal-electron contribution increases the current through the Josephson junc
tion, while in the capacitive limit it decreases the contribution of Cheren
kov resonances. (C) 1999 American Institute of Physics. [S1063-7834(99)0050
