Abstract
The new cage-like octanuclear thiolate complex [NMe4](2)[(c-mu(4)-S)(mu-SCH 2Ph)(12)S4Zn8] has been prepared and characterized by X-ray crystal structu re analysis. All eight Zn atoms and a mu(4)-S constitute a tetracapped tetr ahedron, in which mu(4)-S is at the center of cage. The suppression abiliti es of the complex for the hydroxyl and TEMP radicals were determined by EPR and GC, and the results showed that the complex possess more effective sup pression abilities than natural MT.
