Abstract
A new kind of natural glyco-cyclophane, clemochinenoside-A (1), has been st ereoselectively synthesized from 1,6-di-0-acetyl-2,3,4-tri-O-benzyl-D-gluco pyranose. 4-Dimethylaminopyridine and dicyclohexylcarbodiimide were first u sed to catalyze the glyco-cycloesterification.
