Abstract
This article describes seven myths regarding the gene-environment debate th at permeate the thinking of many educators and psychologists. These myths c an lead to serious misinterpretations ol; the role of genes in behavior and to false conclusions regarding the modifiability of behavior. We examine e ach myth, dispel it, and stale what me believe to De con-ect conclusions fr om different kinds of behavior-genetic and related data.
