Abstract
The polarization behavior of Fe-3 Al, and three alloyed iron aluminides (Fe -28Al-2Cr-0.15Mm, Fe-28Al-2Ti-0.15Mm and Fe-28Al-1Cr-1Ti-0.15Mm) has been s tudied in 0.05 mol/l H2SO4. The base intermetallic exhibited active behavio r while all the alloyed intermetallics exhibited active-passive behavior. T he passivation characteristics of these alloyed intermetallics have been di scussed.
