Abstract
AIM: To study the effect of fibrin fibrinogen degradation products (FFDP) o n release of interleukin-l (IL-I) and interleukin-6 (IL-6) from mouse perit oneal macrophages, and the effect of a new selectively potent protein kinas e C inhibitor Ro 31-8220 (Ro). METHODS: IL-1 and 1L-6 activities were measu red by thymocyte proliferation assay and Bg cell proliferation methyl thiaz olyl tetrazolium (MTT) colorimetric method, respectively. RESULTS: Ro 0.01 -1 mu mol.L-1 obviously inhibited FFDP-induced release of IL-1 and IL-6 fro m mouse peritoneal macrophages. CONCLUSION: Ro exerted inhibitory effects o n FFDP-induced release of IL-1 and IL-6 in vitro.
