Abstract
The effect of various material components and process parameters on the gre en machining process of Si3N4 is described. Different studies will show the principles of operation during the green machining of Si3N4 compared to a standard material SiC. A chipping model is introduced as well. Suggestions for further improvements of green machining of Si3N4 are presented.
