Abstract
The record of two specimens inside the bivalve Pinna rugosa confirms the la tter species as an alternate secondary host for Encheliophis dubius in the Gulf of California. Pearlfish morphometrics and observed potential predator s are given. A brief revision of the known primary and secondary hosts of E . dubius, including additional data from the central Gulf of California, is provided.
