K. Darowicki et S. Janicki, Evaluation of the effect of ruthenium oxide on the properties of compositeelectrodes used in cathodic protection, CORROS SCI, 41(6), 1999, pp. 1165-1173
Results have been presented of potentiodynamic and impedance investigations
of conducting polymeric composites based on the polyethylene matrix with a
ddition of DuPont vinyl acetate (Elvax 450). High conducting carbon black w
as the main conducting component of investigated polymeric composites. Impr
ovement of the current output of composite electrodes was realised by intro
duction of active ruthenium dioxide. Statistical analysis was carried out o
f potentiodynamic dependencies allowing determination of relations of the c
urrent output of designed electrodes in the function of the percentage of i
ntroduced oxide. An improvement of electrochemical parameters has been show
n characterising polymeric composites with increase of the percentage of ru
thenium oxide. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
