Abstract
Oftentimes, serious tax planning does not start until a project is bei ng readied for development and production. Experience shows, though, t hat such planning should really begin before the start of exploration. This article explains why it's never too early to get serious about t ax planning, and outlines the hind of tax planning that should take pl ace in conjunction with planning the exploration program.
