Abstract
We report 3 observations of acute gastric volvulus on paraesophageal hiatus
hernia requiring emergency laparotomy. The main characteristics of this co
mplication of hiatus hernia are described and the importance of early diagn
osis, because of unfavorable prognosis, is stressed.
