Abstract
A new species of planktonic rotifer, Keratella trapezoida n. sp. is describ ed from the Yangtze River, P.R. China. The new morphospecies is characteriz ed by its four enclosed dorsal median facets, nearly trapezoid shape of the first median facet on dorsal plate, and the caudal median facet with paral lel margins and being open posteriorly.
