Abstract
There have been few case reports of pure anemic aphasia and the underlying mechanism remains to be clarified. We report a patient in whom pure anemic aphasia was caused by subcortical hemorrhage in the left temporo-parieto-oc cipital lobe, Based on magnetic resonance images and cerebral blood flow im aging, the structural lesion underlying the pure anemic aphasia was thought to be located at the left temporo-occipital junction.
