Abstract
The oscillatory coupling, GMR and field sensitivity (S) on the glass deposi ted Ni83Fe17/Cu multilayers (Mls) as a function of the Cu spacer are discus sed. The oscillation period is 1 nm and the maximum of S = 0.13 [%/Oe] was obtained for Mls with d(Py) = 1 8 nm and d(Cu) = 2 nm. Low temperature dest roys A-F coupling due to the pin-holes and a transition from partially A-F to F-F coupling at T = 52 K occurs. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All righ ts reserved.
