Abstract
Powder samples of nanocrystalline Fe-30(Al1-xCux)(70) (x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 ) were prepared by mechanical alloying. AC and DC susceptibility measuremen ts as a function of temperature, frequency and external applied DC field sh owed the appearance of both a spin-glass-like transition and a superparamag netic component. The latter decreases as the Cu concentration is increased, and practically extinguishes for x = 0.3. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. A ll rights reserved.
