Abstract
The determination of the easy axis of magnetization at variable temperature s using X-ray powder diffraction in an external magnetic held is described. The method is based on the observation of the preferred orientation induce d by aligning the magnetic grains along the field direction of a sample hol der consisting of a permanent Sm2Co17 based magnet.
