Experimental influence of internal stresses on the anhysteretic curve of 3% SiFe nonoriented alloys

Anhysteretic curves of plastically strained nonoriented 3% SiFe are reporte d. They markedly decrease when magnetic measurements are carried out along the direction of the applied stress sigma. This phenomenon is less sensitiv e perpendicular to sigma. This evolution compared with the quasistatic magn etization curve one shows that the degradation of the magnetic properties i s essentially due to the elastic stresses. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V.
