Stress and magnetic field dependence of magneto-impedance in amorphous Co66.3Fe3.7Si12B18 ribbons

The dependence of MI on the magnetic field, applied stress and drive curren t frequency has been studied. We report the influence of tensile stresses o n the MI effect in amorphous CoFeSiB ribbons, where several annealing treat ments have been made in order to obtain better results. Sensitivities to th e applied magnetic field up to 83%/Oe have been obtained at 3 MHz applying a tensile stress of 500 MPa. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights rese rved.
