Abstract
Structural, mechanical and magnetic behaviours of FeSi and FeSiAl sheets wh en subjected to a nitriding thermochemical treatment are reported. The nitr ogen distribution at the surface of the sample is fitted with an exponentia l law. Iron-nitrides have been identified by X-ray diffraction.
