Abstract
Composite soft magnetic materials consist of magnetic particles in a non-ma gnetic matrix. The properties of such materials can be modelled using effec tive medium theory. Measurements have been made of the complex permeability of composites produced using ferrite powder and polyester resin. The succe ss of various effective medium expressions in predicting the variation of c omplex permeability with composition has been assessed. (C) 1999 Elsevier S cience B.V. All rights reserved.
