Single crystals of NiIn2-2xCr2xS4 compounds were grown by the chemical vapo
ur transport method. A thermodynamic study has been undertaken in order to
calculate the optimal parameters of growth conditions. Low-temperature magn
etic susceptibility data reveal a spin-glass-like behaviour with a transiti
on temperature around 10 K. The high-temperature data reveal the predominan
ce of antiferromagnetic interactions between the magnetic ions. (C) 1999 Pu
