By means of inelastic neutron scattering the temperature dependence of the
magnetic excitations in Nd2CuO4 was investigated in the temperature range f
rom 0.1 to 4 K. The excitation energies decrease by approximately 0.1 meV.
This result seems to be in contradiction with known interaction parameters,
which predict that the Nd contribution to the static molecular held is neg
ative. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
