Abstract
The effects of annealing on the room-temperature characteristics of five Y3 Fe5-xGaxO12(111) single-crystal films with 0 less than or equal to x less t han or equal to 0.73 have been determined by Brillouin light scattering and microwave spectroscopy. The annealing produces a significant increase in t he exchange stiffness constant D-ex and a small decrease in magnetisation. Changes in the first-order uniaxial anisotropy fields are also seen.
