Abstract
UCoAl is a 5f band metamagnet. The U1-xYxCoAl solid solutions were found to exhibit ferromagnetism for low Y content. The spontaneous magnetic moment reaches a maximum value of 0.22 mu(B) for x = 0.06 and vanishes around x = 0.15, T-c is nearly constant (approximate to 14 K) for x = 0.02-0.08.
