Abstract
We analyze the stability of the magnetic structures of RCu compounds (R = C e, Pr and Nd), which have been determined by means of neutron diffraction. While CeCu exhibits a simple antiferromagnetic structure with a single prop agation vector, NdCu has a complex magnetic behaviour with two propagation vectors. In contrast, no long range magnetic order has been observed in PrC u down to 2 K. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
