Abstract
Sjogren's syndrome is a common medical condition that may produce psychiatr ic symptoms. Untreated deficits can become permanent, sometimes resulting i n death. The hypothesized mechanism involves CNS vasculitis. Psychoactive m edications treat psychiatric symptoms but leave the underlying medical proc ess unaffected. Laboratory tests to diagnose Sjogren's syndrome and specifi c treatments for this condition are improving.
