Abstract
Replacement of viscera into the abdominal cavity without closure of a diaph ragmatic rent can result in rapid reentrapment of the intestinal tract with in the thoracic cavity.) Diaphragmatic rents in horses can be successfully repaired using mesh impla nts secured by staples.
