Yn. Belenkov et al., The role of magnetic-resonance tomography and angiography in diagnosis of renovascular hypertension, KARDIOLOGIY, 39(2), 1999, pp. 11-20
Sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of magnetic resonance angiography, ca
ptopril-sensitive dynamic scintigraphy, ultrasound dopplerography and combi
nation of these techniques for detection of renovascular hypertension were
assessed basing on examination of 67 patients with renal artery stenosis, 3
7 patients with hypertension and normal renal arteries and 22 healthy volun
teers. Results allowed to create an algorithm for examination of patients w
ith hypertension aimed at diagnosis of renovascular hypertension. Variants
of magnetic resonance images of renal arteries with stenoses of different s
everity and etiology were investigated. The technique of functional magneti
c resonance tomography of the kidney was verified both on healthy subjects
and patients with renovascular hypertension.
