Ym. Pushin et al., Clinical evaluation of efficacy of a sustained-release preparation of isosorbide-5-mononitrate in patients with chronic ischemic heart disease, KARDIOLOGIY, 39(2), 1999, pp. 45-48
Clinical effect of a sustained-release preparation of isosorbide-5-mononitr
ate (Mono-Mack Depot, 50 mg/day) was studied in 27 patients (mean age 53+/-
2 years) with ischemic heart disease and class III-IV effort angina. Distin
ct antianginal action of the drug was accompanied by significant increase o
f exercise tolerance and according to results of Holter ECG monitoring by d
ecrease of number and duration of attacks of ischemia mostly at the account
of painless episodes.
