Abstract
It is shown that the main result presented by Ercelebi and Senger [Phys. Re v. B 53, 11 008 (1996)] is unreasonable, and is only an artifact produced b y a variational scheme rather than an intrinsic properly of the system. [S0 163-1829(99)01616-1].
