Abstract
The resolution of the cyclic diamine tmdz (tmdz=5,5,7-trimethyl-1,4-diazaey cloheptane) is described. The absolute configuration was determined by prep aration and crystal structure analysis of [PtCl2(R-tmdz)] by X-ray diffract ion methods. Each enantiomer reacts with d(GpG) to form two isomers that we re readily separated by HPLC. Significant stereoselectivity was observed in the reaction of the S enantiomer with d(GpG) but not in the reaction of th e R enantiomer. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
