Abstract
The oxidation stability of low density polyethylene to UV light has been st udied in the presence of various types of antioxidants (hindered phenols, H ALS and synthetic N-alkylamines). A chemiluminescence procedure has been ap plied. Kinetic parameters of oxidation are obtained from isothermal measure ments at 180 degrees C. The synergistic effect of antioxidant couples is ex amined and a stabilisation order is determined (C) 1999 Society of Chemical Industry.
