Abstract
Helioseismology offers, for the first time, an opportunity to probe in deta il the deep interior of a star (our Sun). The results will have a profound impact on our understanding not only of the solar interior, but also neutri no physics, stellar evolution theory, and stellar population studies in ast rophysics.
