Abstract
A family of deformations W-f of the Witt algebra W parametrized by the spac e epsilon of even polynomials with vanishing constant terms is defined. The existence of an isomorphism (W) over cap(f) similar or equal to (W) over c ap, where (boolean AND) refers to suitable completions of W, is proved. A r elation between W-f and Krichever-Novikov algebras of genus 0 and 1 is give n.
