Abstract
Condensation of phenols with aromatic alpha-hydroxyiminonitriles or alpha-o xonitriles under Hoesch reaction conditions leads to derivatives of 5a-amin o-5a,10b-dihydrobenzofuro[2,3-b]benzofuranols.
