Abstract
Efficient synthesis of a novel tetrathiafulvalene building block, 2,3-bis(2 -cyanoethylthio)-6,7-bis(thiocyanatomethyl) tetrathiafulvalene (7) useful f or stepwise and asymmetrical bis-functionalization is reported.
