Abstract
The chemoselective catalytic hydrogenation of substituted gamma-amino alpha , beta-unsaturated esters bearing benzyl ether, benzyl ester functionalitie s and N-Cbz protecting groups by 3% Pd/C in EtOAc was investigated. The res ults revealed a good selectivity for substrates with benzyl ethers and benz yl esters in the side chain and for alpha,beta-unsaturated benzyl esters. M oderate selectivity was observed for substrates with N-Cbz protecting group .
