Abstract
The recent commercial availability of near infrared spectrometric instrumen ts for the transmittance analysis of solids makes it possible to analyse so lid drugs in their finished form. Application of the method to the control of the assay of the active ingredient in diphenhydramine tablets gave resul ts comparable to those obtained in reflectance mode with whole and milled t ablets.
