Abstract
Multilocus enzyme 'electrophoresis (MLEE) was compared with restriction end onuclease analysis (REA) and ribotyping as a method for differentiating iso lates of Pasteurella multocida in a retrospective study of eight fowl chole ra outbreaks on seven turkey farms. MLEE typing matched the results previou sly obtained by REA and ribotyping, except that the two outbreaks linked by REA and ribotyping were not linked by MLEE typing. MLEE appears to be a us eful technique for investigations of fowl cholera outbreaks.
