Abstract
Yellow spot is a major disease in the northern Western Australian wheat bel t and new cultivars that have high yield also have a moderate, but useful l evel of resistance to yellow spot. The source of resistance to yellow spot in these cultivars is generally different. Some cultivars, such as Cranbroo k and Hartog, although not possessing a high level of resistance, appear to contribute to the resistance displayed in more resistant cultivars.
