Ne. Ligterink et Blg. Bakker, RENORMALIZATION OF LIGHT-FRONT HAMILTONIAN FIELD-THEORY, Physical review. D. Particles and fields, 52(10), 1995, pp. 5917-5925
We propose a regularization of light-front field theory which does not
make a distinction between transverse and longitudinal coordinates. I
t consists of a subtraction of low order terms in the Taylor expansion
of an amplitude with respect to external momenta, similar to the regu
larization in the BPKZ scheme, which has some advantages that do not e
xist in covariant field theory. Instantaneous parts and other longitud
inal singularities are automatically removed irrespective of their exp
licit form. We argue therefore that these parts are meaningless. The l
ocal counterterms are equal to those of covariant held theory. We demo
nstrate the method in a number of examples, recovering the covariant r
esults.
