Abstract
Partial substitution of La by Ag, instead of Sr, in LaFeO3 and LaFe0.5Co0.5 O3 perovskite oxides causes large increase in the catalytic activity of the perovskite in the complete combustion of dilute methane for its emission c ontrol, at low temperature (below 700 degrees C) and high space velocity (5 1 000 cm(3) g(-1) h(-1)). Ag-doped LaFe0.5 Co0.5O3 shows the highest methan e combustion activity. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
