Abstract
Under Australian field conditions, gene flow between canola (Brassica napus ) and a related weed species, wild radish (Raphanus raphanistrum) was exami ned. A model system without transgenic material but utilising herbicide res istance was employed. In the first year of this study a total of five putat ive hybrids have been discovered. The morphology, pollen fertility and seed set of these individuals is discussed.
